Welcome to Technology Education/Engineering at Luther Burbank Middle School.
Technology Education/Engineering incorporates problem-based learning utilizing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) principles. The goal of Tech Ed is to spread technological literacy, which is accomplished by providing a rich variety of hands-on laboratory activities to students with many exciting new technologies. Technology Education stresses design and problem-solving abilities, and provides to the student career awareness and information about a wide variety of technology-related fields. Students become more prepared to prosper in an information and technology rich society.

In Massachusetts, Technology Education is a science.  Tech Ed represents 25% of the Science/Technology/Engineering MCAS that students take in both grades 5 and 8.
