Guidelines: Use of Technology at MDC

Procedure 7900: Guidelines for Use of Miami Dade College Computing Resources  - provides information and guidelines for all computer users at MDC and should be reviewed by faculty using and incorporating technology in College curricula.   Specific topics of interest include:
  • Intellectual property rights of College and others (III.B)
  • Security Issues including password protection and copying software  (IV.B)
  • Copyright compliance (V.B)
  • Use of Social Media (V.K)

  •  ADA requirements -  Assessiblity for All - The information linked below is part of the Virtual College certification course, but covers other uses of technology.
  • FERPA  The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records.
