HS Cuba


Description of Program:


This trip is designed as an interdisciplinary experience and to expose students to a wide range of cultural events and institutions involving the arts, history and science. Some of the planned visits include:
  • Revolution Square and José Martí Museum
  • Walking tour of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • UBPC Vivero Organopónico Alamar, an organic farm
  • Finca La Vigía (House and farm of Ernest Hemingway Museum)
  • Las Terrazas, a small community and nature reserve
  • Cafetal Buena Vista, ruins of an ancient coffee plantation run by African slaves
  • Prodanza, a center for the promotion of dance under the Ministry of Culture of Cuba
  • Proyecto El Divino, a model farm with two community projects supported by proceeds from its restaurant









Eligibility: This trip is open to all students, with priority given to students enrolled in Spanish
