Operation Diabetes

Operation Diabetes seeks to increase overall awareness of diabetes and the role we, as student pharmacists, play in prevention and management of this disease.  Our goal is to help patients increase their quality of life by relaying the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, medication compliance, and regulation of blood glucose.  As a student pharmacist, we have the opportunity to take our knowledge outside of the classroom and make a difference within the community.

So far this year we've teamed up with other health care professionals at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Neighborhood Health Plan, local high schools and pharmacies in an effort to educate those around us of the importance of healthy lifestyle choices!
