General Information

The eleventh annual Northeast Regional Life Sciences Core Directors (NERLSCD) 2016 Meeting will be held October 13-15, 2016,  at the Boston Sheraton Hotel in Boston, MA,  co-hosted by Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  

The NERLSCD meeting (often called the NERDS meeting) is an outstanding regional forum for core facility administrators, directors, managers and staff to network with colleagues, to learn about biotechnology advances and their applications, and to discuss the challenges of implementing shared research resources.

The 2016 Meeting will feature:
  • Keynote talks from John Essigmann, Myriam Heiman and George Church.

  • Presentations and discussion surrounding improving the interactions between different types of core facilities.

  • NEW: Technical tracks for many different types of core facilities including Genomics, Proteomics, Flow Cytometry, Bioinformatics, High Throughput Screening, Antibodies, Imaging, and Administration.

  • Poster session that offers attendees an opportunity to present posters describing their core services and to learn about regional life sciences shared resources. Similar to last year, attendees can rent LCD-TV displays to present electronic posters (ePosters) at the poster session. 

  • Opening reception and numerous opportunities to network with colleagues. 

NERLSCD is a regional Chapter of the international Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF).

Meeting registration deadline: October 8, 2016
(Note: Registration after Oct 1, 2016 will result in your names not appearing in the attendee list on the program)
Hotel reservation deadline to receive conference rate: September 30, 2016
Abstract submission deadline: September 30, 2016 (abstracts submitted after this day will not be included in the printed program)
Poster file submission deadline: October 12, 2016
