The classes listed below, for the study of children ages 5-7, are offerred each summer in a series of week long workshops. If you are interested in any of the classes listed below click "Summer Offerings" for further information. Course IIa is offerred for those students who took Course I and wish to continue on with the Primary level work.
Course IIa Home Study Program ($300.00)
The Home Study Program is designed to allow students to study Montessori educational philosophy and theory of child development through a self-directed tutorial study. The program provides the services of an experienced Montessori teacher with whom the student corresponds by mail, a study guide containing information and assignments, theory lectures and detailed curriculum guides for Primary Math, Primary Reading and Cultural Subjects. .
Primary Math and Grammar (*$400.00)
This class presents the specific Montessori materials used math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, factoring and fractions, and Grammar materials for identifying grammatical parts of speech which are an used to help comprehension 30 hours.
*Books and an Examination Fee are separate.
Upon completion of the Home Study Program and the curriculum classes, the student is eligible to take the comprehensive written and oral diploma exam.
