  • December 4 - 8, 2017 Hello families,To our surprise today we had the school’s elf visiting the kindergarten classroom.  The kids were very excited and did a great job showing the elf how much they could do.With snow in the forecast I wanted to let you know that children do need snowpants and boots to play out in the snow on the playground.  If they do not have these items students will be asked to play on the basketball court where the snow is plowed.  If you could also label snow pants, especially if they are black, that is very helpful.  Lastly, if anyone would like to make donations of clorox wipes and tissues to the classroom that would be greatly appreciated ...

  • Week of 11/13 - 11/21/17 It is hard to believe we have reached 52 days of school.  These students continue to amaze me everyday with their excitement, cooperation, and caring ways. On Thursday, we had our whole school Thanksgiving Dinner and whole school recess.  The student council explained what Thanksgiving was and the Chorus sang a fun Thanksgiving song.  Due to the rain we had indoor recess in the kindergarten classroom with the 5th graders. It was wonderful to see the older kids playing and interacting with the kinders.  The kindergartners really enjoyed this special event.This month we’ve been fortunate to have some parent volunteers come into the classroom to be guest readers, help during centers, and math groups.  Thank you to Tiffany ...

  • Week of 10/30 - 11/3 Well this week started off rather interesting.  I would have never guessed we’d already have two “no school” days.  I hope you all were able to stay warm and comfortable, especially if you ended up losing power.  On Wednesday, we had our first whole school lunch and recess.  K-5 students were given a number 1-8 and sat at that table.  Students had a chance to eat and play with new and old friends.  It was wonderful to see the older kids outside playing with the younger kids.  The feedback from kindergartners was that it was a lot of fun!  This month we will be having some parent volunteers coming into the classroom to be guest readers, help ...
