8th Grade Spanish:
  • I can express activities that interest me.
  • I can express activities that other people like to do.
  • I can appropriately use gustar and encantar when discussing verbs.

6th Grade Spanish:

  • I can use cognates to help my understanding of Spanish.

  • I can recognize the sounds of the Spanish alphabet.

  • I can spell words using the Spanish alphabet.

  • I can list immediate family members in Spanish.

  • I can use possessive adjectives to talk about "my" family members.

  • I can talk about relationships that I see on a family tree.

  • I can correctly use accents.

  • I can count to 40 in Spanish.

  • I can greet classmates and teachers in Spanish.

  • I can introduce myself in Spanish.

  • I can recognize some Spanish speaking countries.

6th Grade French:
  • I can use cognates to help my understanding of French.
  • I can recognize the sounds of the French alphabet.
  • I can spell words using the French alphabet.
  • I can list immediate family members in French.

                                    Over-arching Objective of the Month

                                    Our larger objective this month in  World Language class is being able to talk about family members and relationships among family members (6th grade) and being able to discuss activities that we enjoy doing and that others enjoy doing (8th grade).
