What We Are Learning

  • Bonjour! We have had quite the past few weeks catching back with everyone! I think we're finally able to get back into the groove of things! We spent the first few classes in all grades going over class expectations, essential agreements and reviewing all the French we've gone over in the past.  Kindergarten has been working on learning their numbers to ten with one to one correspondence. They have had a Number of the Day and working hard or pronunciation, writing and quantities. First grade has been recently wrapped up their number placemats and will be taking them home soon (if they haven't already) We will be starting colors in the upcoming weeks. Second grade has done a ...

  • Wrapping things up... Salut! I hope that everyone had wonderful and restful holidays. After a rocky (snowy) week back, we are ready to get back in the routine. Unfortunately, we are nearing the half way point in the year, which means it's almost time for French and Spanish to switch buildings. My last week with Loudon, Webster and Salisbury will be the week of January 22-26.   • L'action de graces Happy Thanksgiving! In their country explorations, fifth graders learned that over 300 million people around the world in over 30 countries speak French! They are looking into some cultural aspects of life in these countries and getting ready to compare and contrast with our lives here in the United States. Fourth graders are creating some thoughtful forecasts! And can't wait to share them with each other after Thanksgiving break.Third grade is wrapping up the family and will be jumping into the food unit after the break!
