What We Are Learning

  • L'action de graces Happy Thanksgiving! In their country explorations, fifth graders learned that over 300 million people around the world in over 30 countries speak French! They are looking into some cultural aspects of life in these countries and getting ready to compare and contrast with our lives here in the United States. Fourth graders are creating some thoughtful forecasts! And can't wait to share them with each other after Thanksgiving break.Third grade is wrapping up the family and will be jumping into the food unit after the break!   • Oh la vache! Oh la vache! Oh my gosh! Can you believe it's already November?!  We have been very busy and very hard at work! Here is a quick update of what we've been doing and what's coming up in the next few weeks! Fifth grade has been learning how to communicate time in French. We have been working with time to half past, as well as making some comparisons between time in English and time in French. We made some connections with words we know in English like "demi" meaning half, and "et demie" meaning half past the hour.   • Update pour l'octobre Salut! It's hard to believe it's almost the middle of October and it still feels like August! kindergarten is working hard on mastering their numbers to ten and getting ready to move up to 15!
