What We Are Learning

  • Wrapping up! We have had a busy last couple of months! We are wrapping up units and projects and reviewing all the new knowledge they have learned this year in French! Fifth grade has done a great job with the "Be the Teacher" challenge. Their lessons.have been well prepared and rehearsed, and the students have learned a lot about teaching (and learning). They are also wrapping up their Books of Knowledge with all the French they've learned over their elementary years experience. Best of luck next year at the middle school!   • Bienvenue a mai! Welcome to May! Everyone is continuing to work hard and stay focused with a busy month coming up! Kindergarten is working on a number "pique-nique" and moving on to colors in the coming weeks. First grade did some final review of numbers to ten, and is moving further with numbers as well as learning/reviewing colors from last year. Second grade is focused on the alphabet in French. We learned a great new way to sing the alphabet. Have you heard it at home yet? We are working with isolating letters, and using the to spell as well!Third grade continues with the family and are creating a "Dans ma famille..." book as a class (ALL IN FRENCH!) Fourth ...

  • Bonjour! We have had quite the past few weeks catching back with everyone! I think we're finally able to get back into the groove of things! We spent the first few classes in all grades going over class expectations, essential agreements and reviewing all the French we've gone over in the past.  Kindergarten has been working on learning their numbers to ten with one to one correspondence.
