      Welcome to the Counselor's Corner. My name is Pam Doramus, and I am the Meadows Valley school counselor. I will be providing services to k-12th grade students throughout the school year. My job is to provide academic support, career and college readiness, and personal/social assistance for New Meadow students, families, and staff.

Informed Consent

A critical part of the counseling relationship is the establishment and maintenance of a trusting and confidential relationship between the counselor and the student. The counselor will encourage a strong line of communication between the student and his/her

parent(s) / guardian(s), teacher(s), and other stakeholders in the student’s life. The best interest of the student is the core focus of any interaction between the counselor and student.  Certain legal restrictions arise and confidentiality cannot be maintained. These cases include: (a) any form of child abuse , (b) danger to one’s self , and (c) danger to others . The counselor may also choose to consult with other professionally competent mental health professionals.


Federal law prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status in any educational, programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance. (Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Title IX of the educational Amendments of 1972; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.)
