Murray State University Hutson School of Agriculture's 2017-2018 Internship/Career Fairs

The Murray State University Hutson School of Agriculture (HSOA) would like to extend an invitation to you and your company to join us for the two Agriculture Internship/Career Fair opportunities we will host in the 2017-2018 academic year.  First, HSOA will have a fall Agriculture Internship/Career Fair on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 (Click Here for Company Listing).  The second Agriculture Internship/Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Both fairs will be held in the MSU Curris Center Ballroom located on the 3rd floor.  Parking will be reserved in the front of the building and there will be agriculture students on hand to assist you with unloading and set-up. There is not a participation fee and each company will be provided with one 6 foot table and two chairs. The registration form (that includes both fairs) may be accessed at this link.  Both fairs will follow the same schedule.  The schedule for both days is as follows:

·         Registration and Booth Set-up - 8:15 to 9:00 a.m.

·         Career Fair - 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

·         Informal Come and Go Buffet Lunch – 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

·         Interviews – 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Interview room must be requested in advance.)

Our career fairs are designed to focus on agricultural career opportunities.  The goal of the fairs is to see that our students are exposed to the different careers available.  By dealing directly with agriculture students, you will be able to give them more insight into the professions attainable within the agriculture industry.  Your company is not required to have positions or internships open to participate in one and/or both fairs.

Additionally at this time we are asking for your support of the Hutson School of Agriculture Annual Student Awards Banquet, which is tentatively scheduled for March 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.  We invite you and your company/organization to participate in this event by attending the banquet and/or sponsoring a table(s) for deserving agriculture students.  Sponsorship will incur a minimum donation of $100.00 per table.  Your attendance is certainly welcomed, but is not required for sponsorship of the banquet.

The MSU Hutson School of Agriculture has experienced record growth and now has around 1,000 students.  Our programs and students are not only expanding in quantity, but also in quality.  We think you’ll be impressed.  So mark your calendars now, return the enclosed registration form and make plans to attend the Hutson School of Agriculture Internship/Career Fairs on November 1st and February 7th, as well as the HSOA Annual Student Awards Banquet tentatively scheduled for March 14th.  With your participation, these events are sure to be a success.  If you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact Ms. Christy Watkins or myself at or (270) 809-3329.
