Information Regarding Telephone Notification System

As many of you are aware, we have experienced some issues this year with the telephone notification system missing a few calls. However, this morning, we received multiple reports of missed calls. I have been in contact with both the company that operates the service, and our local telephone company.  They are both working to determine the cause of the missed calls. Please know that we are aware of the situation, and doing everything we can to resolve it.  If for some reason, the system cannot be adjusted to work in our area, we may need to return to use of the Code Red system, or use an alternate means of communicating late starts and school dismissals.

 

In the meantime, I would ask for your assistance for future calls.  If there is a late start or school cancellation, and you do not receive a call, please notify the school as soon as possible. This gives the companies the best opportunity to trace where the calls are getting dropped.

Qualified Staff

The district shall notify the parents of each student attending any school that the parents may request, and the district will provide to the parents, on request, in a timely matter, information regarding the professional qualifications of the student's teacher(s).  The district shall also provide timely notice to parents if their child will be taught by a teacher not meeting ESEA/NCLB requirements for four or more consecutive weeks.
