Workshop on "Developing Partnership and Advancing Driving Research"
1. Objectives
This workshop aims to:

(1) identify plausible research projects and internal/external collaborators for each identified project

(2) introduce possible funding agencies and proposal submission logistics, and

(3) plan and schedule activities that will culminate in competitive proposal submission.

All interested parties are invited to the workshop. In addition to internal Michigan Tech researchers, we invite possible external collaborators, including academia, government, and industry. After keynote speech, each participant will briefly introduce his or her research areas and specialties. All participants will also have a chance to discuss collaborations and ideas with every other participant in short conversations held during a “speed dating” session. After the workshop, Michigan Tech Transportation Institute (MTTI) will continue to facilitate communications and to organize meetings of each special interest group. The goal of the initial workshop and follow-up meetings is to identify prioritized opportunities and to follow up with competitive proposals to successfully secure external funding.
