Welcome! Founded in 2014, the STEM Board is a collaboration among MHS academic clubs and teams to promote involvement and interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This website contains updates on the STEM Board and science club activities at MHS and provides links to many research opportunities, competitions, internships, events, and other resources to satisfy your interest in STEM.   • SMART Competition Signups Hey everyone,The SMART Competition is a team challenge, in which groups of 3-4 students apply their science, math, and physics knowledge to create an energy efficient gymnasium on a virtual campus using the Bentley Software System.Website: http://www.smartcompetition.org Here's a description from the website For the competition, the students will redesign a gymnasium found on an existing high school campus.  All teams will be tasked with redesigning the same building.  Their redesign project will include completion of the following deliverables:A baseline energy audit of the high school gymnasium.Computer-based redesign of the gymnasium and surrounding property to improve the energy efficiency of the gymnasium to be followed by a second energy audit ...
