Our menus are nutritionally analyzed to provide the appropriate levels of calories, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, iron, and percentages of fat and saturated fat. A school lunch consists of an entrée, side dishes and milk. Students are required to take a minimum of an entrée and at least one other food item. If the student does not take the minimum meal requirements, the lunch is considered “ala carte”. We encourage students to make healthy food choices. Each school has an Offering Bar filled with an assortment of salads, fruits and vegetables. The Offering Bar is self-service to allow students to take larger portions of their favorite fruits and vegetables.
We believe that breakfast is a vital part of a child’s day. Studies have shown a direct link between eating breakfast and a child’s ability to learn. Students who eat breakfast are able to perform better in school. Breakfast is available each morning at the following schools: Allen Creek, Cascade, Grove, Kellogg Marsh, Liberty, Marshall, Pinewood, Quil Ceda, Shoultes, Sunnyside, Tulalip, Cedarcrest, Marysville Middle, Totem Middle, Marysville Secondary Campus, Marysville-Pilchuck High and Marysville Mountain View High School. Students who qualify for free or reduced price lunches automatically qualify for free breakfasts.Free and reduced meal applications are available from the school offices, or by calling the Food Service Office at (360) 657-0935.
