The research group in probability theory at Michigan State University includes faculty and graduate students from the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Statistics and Probability. Our areas of interest and expertise include stochastic processes and random fields, heavy tails, random matrices, extreme value statistics, stochastically driven dynamical systems, waves in a disordered environment, statistical mechanics and conformally invariant processes in 2D. On this page you may find announcements about our seminars and other activities as well as links to faculty pages
The seminar for 2012/2013 will run on Thursdays at 11:30 as in past years. Hope to see you there.
