TOPICS: This course will be an introduction to spectral theory of linear operators, and to operator algebras.

PREREQUISITES: MTH 828 Real Analysis, MTH 829 Complex Analysis, and preferably MTH 920 Functional Analysis

HOMEWORK: There will be several homework assignments. We may take some class meetings to discuss homework problems. You may be called on to present solutions at these meetings.

PRESENTATIONS: Each student will be called on to present some of the material.
