Welcome to the online course entitled: Integrative Health Care for Pain and Stress.  This course was made possible by the efforts of the primary author, Roxane Chan, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, LMT.  Dr Chan is an assistant professor in the College of Nursing at Michigan State University.  She is a board certified advanced holistic nurse, a licensed massage therapist and a Reiki Master. Her educational preparation, practice, teaching and research experience include patients with chronic health conditions and health care professionals caring for these individuals. Throughout her nursing career, Dr Chan’s passion and her focus on health promotion and risk reduction provides a high level of expertise in this area. 

This program complies with the requirements for continuing nursing education and specifically satisfies the requirement for one (1.0) hour of pain and pain symptom management for relicensure in the state of Michigan. This independent study activity will be available to learners for 3 years, until 2019. No conflict of interest is disclosed by either the presenter or planner of this activity. No financial support from a commercial entity was present. Successful completion criteria for CNE includes an engagement with the required content, 80% or better pass rate on the course quiz, and a completed evaluation.
