Grades 6 and 7 are a time of rapid change and growth for children both physically and emotionally. It can be a tumultuous time as they strive for greater independence. They need supervision and guidance as they begin to make choices that affect their health and future.

Prioritizing the needs of the student population moment to moment is a reality of school nursing.  I assess and consider many aspects of each student when they visit me and I will notify you if it is warranted after a nursing assessment.

Communication with me about your child's health is key to supporting them in school.  Please contact me with any new information or updates about your child's health status, medications, special needs, your concerns, or new contact information.

News from the Nurse

  • New Immunization Requirement
Beginning next school year (2017-18), all 7th graders must have 1 dose of Tdap before the start of school.
Please check with your MD and provide us with your latest immunization record. Some students may have had the immunization, but many have not.
