Art is a unique discipline that allows students to explore how they view the world and themselves.  In art class, students learn skills that are imperative in the 21st century.  These skills include critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, innovation, literacy, flexibility and adaptability, self-direction and much more.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for students to develop creativity, imagination and technical abilities in a variety of aspects of the visual arts.  By participating in art experiences that are dynamic and relevant, students will develop critical thinking, visual literacy and technology skills.  Students will explore interdisciplinary experiences, integrate knowledge of past and present cultures in order to foster individual self-expression, community values, and develop an increased understanding of the possibilities of art in the world around them.
