ATTN: Inland Schools’ Outdoor Recreation Leaders FREE Summer of 2027 Program to all who cannot afford it Express Interest by May 15, 2026

In 2027, we're bringing 7th - 12th graders down to Portland from inland towns to educate them about our absolutely amazing marine environment. They'll be in Portland for 2 days in the summer of 2027. Schools will hand-pick kids who A) have virtually no exposure to our marine environment and B) who they feel can benefit from special attention. We'll be introducing them to Maine's magical marine environment, especially our very own Calendar Islands. This project provides kids with in-field and on-the-water education that introduces kids to Casco Bay, teaches them about the complexities of the marine environment, educates them on the impact of climate change on the Gulf of Maine, and introduces them to rewarding careers in the marine environment. This is a collaboration between dozens of organizations who all care deeply for our marine environment. Cost: $125 includes everything. Hotel (1 night), transportation, food, all activities.
