Grand Opening!

We now have a MakerSpace! What is a MakerSpace? It is a place to come to tinker, to create, to find a new passion. We currently have sewing machines, fabric, yarn, knitting and crocheting needles, Legos, K’nex sets, and a brand-new computer that will enable students to create video games, films, music, graphic design, and many other capabilities to come.

Stop in to see what’s new there, and sign up to have a user session. We can help you get started on any project that interests you.

Volunteer to be on our Advisory Board. You’ll have input into what we plan to add to the MakerSpace.

Creating a Maker Space

How and Why we Read

Thank You!

Thank you to Ms. Shorey and the Milo Community Committee for their generous grants to purchase the computer and many other supplies for our MakerSpace. We appreciate their vision in recognizing the worth of this endeavor.

Reading this Summer

Want to read on your own devices this summer? Just go to the Milo Public Library and get a free library card. If you don’t live in Milo, $5.00 will get you a card for your whole family. Once you have a card, you can log on to Overdrive, an app that lets you download for FREE almost any book—new or old—that you might want to read. Of course, don’t overlook the wonderful fact that that card also lets you take out real-life books, too.

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens. Starting May 5th 2016, SYNC will give away two complete audiobook downloads a week - pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes. Sign up for email or text alerts and be first to know when new titles are available to download at
