Mission Statement

Our Physical Education mission is to educate our students on the important relationship between physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. We provide opportunities for students to evaluate their fitness level, set personal goals, and then work towards those goals through fitness related activities that are offered twice a week.

In addition, we offer individual and team sports, cooperative group activities, adventure education and life-long recreational activities. These group activities encourage students to develop their social responsibility, which is their ability to tolerate, make decisions in a group, compromise, develop good sportsmanship, and cooperate with others. 

We emphasize the relationship between active participation and the improvement of individual fitness. By introducing students to such a variety of activities, we hope they will develop an appreciation for the benefits of movement and the fitness qualities that will make them healthy, successful, happy adults.
