Swim Clinics with Sheila Taormina

Learn swimming techniques from world class athlete, Sheila Taormina. Sheila is an Olympic gold medalist, four time Olympian, and triathlon world champion. And she knows how to teach! Sheila leads these swim clinics with understanding, passion, and a wonderful sense of humor. These swim clinics are designed to help people of a wide range of swim abilities from those who are fairly new to swim training to competitive swimmers and triathletes.

Each clinic includes an educational classroom session followed by dry-land training techniques and an in water swim session. The focus is on helping you get that same 'feel' for the water that propelled Sheila to Olympic gold, and on learning how to develop the strength and flexibility that is required for fast swimming. An added benefit of this swim clinic is that Sheila shares how she applies thinking to getting the most from her training and racing. At 5'3", Sheila became the smallest person to win an Olympic gold medal in swimming since 1920, a testament to how technique, training, and smart thinking contributes to the making of a champion.

Feedback from Past Participant:

It's a terrific clinic. Unlike a lot of other triathlete-specific swimming stuff out there, she really focuses on teaching what the catch looks and feels like, and how to develop power in your stroke. She also comes off as a genuine person, who seems to really enjoy helping others. I got a lot out of it; it's definitely worth going to.--Mike G.
