Monthly News~
September~ This past month we went to Lauritzen Gardens for the Fall Festival. While there students saw many plants and stopped at several stations to learn about plants and animals that live in the gardens.

Also, this month third graders were responsible for informing the students of Montclair of the importance of Native Americans, so ask your 3rd grader about the tribes we learned about.

In Science, we are learning about life cycles in plants and animals. Multiplication and Division still are the main focus in math. Please help your 3rd grader practice the multiplication and division facts at home. Practicing spelling words nightly for the test on Friday is greatly appreciated! . Also, reading nightly with your child for 15-20 minutes is the best way to improve your child's reading. Homework comes home each week on Monday is and due back on Fridays.

* Snacks should be peanut free.
* All homework is sent home on Monday and is due on Friday.
* Spelling words are written in your child's planner on Monday and spelling tests are        given on Friday each week.
* Please encourage your child to read nightly for 15-20 min.
* Planners need to be signed nightly and returned each day.
