Thursday, December 22, 2016 promises to be an exciting, enriching and empowering experience! The day will start with continental breakfast and camaraderie, including an exploration of the "Phases of First Year Teaching" and a student-delivered College-and-Career Ready speech at 8:00 AM in the West High School cafeteria.
Elementary Classroom and Elementary Resource teachers will start their day by attending an Elementary Mini Session session that will help them implement the Digital Learning Plan. The balance of the Elementary morning will provide an opportunity to select one of the three required Digital Dig sessions: Puppet Pals, Book Creator, Explain Everything. The afternoon will be spent in Getting to Know Your Students as Readers.
Secondary Classroom and Secondary Resource teachers will spend their morning exploring Small Group Instruction and Gradual Release of Responsibility followed by Rethinking Instruction in a Changing Digital Ecosystem in the afternoon.
