Mme/Profe Kutz - French 3 and 4/Spanish 2 - Room 341

I have created Google Classroom sites for all of my classes. Make sure to join to see assignments, check our daily activities, etc. My goal is to update it everyday so you can see exactly what you missed if you are absent. This can also help you keep informed when assignments are due and when we have quizzes.

About Me

I grew up in Fort Atkinson, WI and fell in love with languages in 8th grade.  I took French and Spanish throughout high school and declared my French and Spanish majors my first semester at the University of MN – Twin Cities.  I spent my entire sophomore year abroad, first spending a semester in Toledo, Spain and then a semester in Montpellier, France.  I graduated summa cum laude from the University of MN in three and a half years with a double major in French Studies and Spanish Studies and a Medieval Studies minor.
After graduation, I taught English in France through the assistants étrangers de langue vivante en France program through the French government.  I loved working with my students to help them learn another language.  When that contract ended, I moved back to Fort Atkinson to work for a local company in their international sales department.  I quickly realized that my heart wasn’t in business and I missed working with students so I went back to school to obtain a Master’s in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University’s online program.
I started teaching Spanish in Farmington, MN at Boeckman Middle School on a restricted license. I took classes at St. Catherine University to obtain a full teaching license for French and Spanish. I taught for a semester at Ramsey Middle School in St. Paul before finding Roosevelt High School. I have been teaching at RHS since the fall of 2014 and I love it!
