I'm Hannah Kostick. I am very excited to get to know each and every one of my students and to guide their growth as a reader, writer, speaker, and critical thinker. I am very excited for my fifth year at Chippewa Middle School! My students are the absolute best.
When I am not teaching, you can find me running on local trails, working on homework for grad school at a coffee shop, trying new recipes, or reading in my favorite comfy chair.

8th grade ELA is a class designed to create strong readers, writers, and thinkers. This course will provide instruction on reading (including nonfiction and fiction texts), vocabulary, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing as outlined in the 8th grade Minnesota State Standards. Students will apply critical thinking skills and literary concepts in a variety of ways, working both individually and collaboratively. Students will use the writing process to create essays, letters, practice revision skills and provide peer feedback. Students will frequently engage in the inquiry process as they conduct research and analyze texts so that they can formulate their own arguments that follow the format of Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning (justification).
Assignments can be found on google classroom.
