I am one of the physical education teachers at Turtle Lake Elementary. The other PE teacher is Mrs. Lukens. We have a lot of fun planning units and activities for every school year. When we plan, we create units that meet the state standards for physical education that give every student a chance to succeed and have fun. We understand that everyone has different interests, strengths, and areas of improvement, so we try to offer the students as many options as we can throughout the year to prepare them to be physically active throughout their lifetime.
I am from Forest Lake, Minnesota, and I graduated from Bemidji State University in 2012. I majored in physical education, health education, and I obtained a minor in developmental adapted physical education (DAPE). Some of my favorite hobbies are playing with my daughter, reading, climbing, mountain biking, watching movies, traveling, and doing anything outdoors. This is my 13th year teaching at Turtle Lake.
I hope this website answers any questions you have about the physical education classes at Turtle Lake Elementary. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me or send me an e-mail. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
