We have a New Book section located in the reading area at the back of the library. It is on the bookshelf below the frog tank. Be sure to check it out weekly, as we are adding new books constantly. Bookfair books are getting processed and put out. There are lots of new and exciting titles! I listened and made sure I purchased the books you wanted from the fair!
All of our book clubs are in full swing. Make sure you check them out. If I don't have a book club for your grade and you would like one, let me know!!
Our first book was a rousing success! The students really enjoyed reading Savvy! Our next selection will be Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This book is readily available at all of the public libraries, so no one should have to buy it. We will begin on Thursday, March 23rd. We will meet each Thursday during lunch in the library. Please bring a bag lunch on that day so that we can begin right away! Students, please note that you do need to read the book in order to attend each week.

We would like to initiate a program at our school to honor children on
their birthdays or other special occasions to benefit our Library Media Center. Your support contributes to our ongoing effort to provide our students with enriching library resources. A donation of $20 (or more) will “purchase” a book chosen to benefit the Library Media Center. The book will have a bookplate affixed with your child’s name, the occasion, the name of the donor and, if you wish, a brief message. We will have special recognition of your child and the gift book at our school Mass celebrations. Your child will be the first to borrow the book. Your gift to the media center creates a lasting tribute and gives your child a sense of pride. The Mother Seton School Library Gift Fund may also be used to commemorate other occasions, such as a thank you to teachers, get-well wishes, acknowledgment of special achievements, or holiday greetings.
If you wish to purchase a book by contributing to the Library Gift Fund, please fill out the form found on the attached link and return it with Your $20 donation to Mrs. Monacelli in the library. Happy Reading!
