  • Playaway Audio Books

The library is proud to announce that we have Playaway audio books available for checkout!  Through the generosity of our benefactors, we were able to purchase 29 Playaways. Some of the exciting Playaway titles are:  The Lightning Thief, The One and Only Ivan, Frindle, Wonder, and many more! The Playaway is a small electronic device similar to an mp3 player.  An entire book is pre-loaded on to each device.  Students can use their own earphones/buds to listen to the audio book.  You can also listen to the device through your car audio system via an aux cable. Playaways will only be available to students in grades 4-8 who are in good standing regarding library privileges. Playaways are located at the back of the room near the new books.  Please note:  The replacement cost to the family for a lost/damaged Playaway is $80 - $100.

  • Mother Seton School Library Gift Fund
We would like to initiate a program at our school to honor children on
their birthdays or other special occasions to benefit our Library Media Center. Your support contributes to our ongoing effort to provide our students with enriching library resources. A donation of $20 (or more) will “purchase” a book chosen to benefit the Library Media Center. The book will have a bookplate affixed with your child’s name, the occasion, the name of the donor and, if you wish, a brief message. We will have special recognition of your child and the gift book at our school Mass celebrations. Your child will be the first to borrow the book. Your gift to the media center creates a lasting tribute and gives your child a sense of pride. The Mother Seton School Library Gift Fund may also be used to commemorate other occasions, such as a thank you to teachers, get-well wishes, acknowledgment of special achievements, or holiday greetings.
If you wish to purchase a book by contributing to the Library Gift Fund, please fill out the form found on the attached link and return it with Your $20 donation to Mrs. Monacelli in the library.  Happy Reading!
