Welcome to my 8th Grade Communications classroom! I am excited and look forward to facilitating lots of learning within a fun, safe, and enjoyable classroom environment. Communicating is a skill that one uses every single day. Whether it be verbal or nonverbal, effectively and successfully communicating is a central focus in my classroom. Reading is also a major component of the Communications environment.

Please feel free to contact me via email any time during the school day. If you prefer to call, please call me between 8 A.M. - 8:30 A.M.

I have an array of educational experiences and licensures. I attended UW-Eau Claire from 1990-1994 and earned a comprehensive (K-12) Bachelors of Science in Special Education. I worked for CESA 6 as a HS Multi-Categorical Special Education teacher for one year, and then I moved to Mosinee and became the 7th Grade Learning Disabilities teacher in the fall of 1995. In 1996, I continued my education with Viterbo and earned my K-12 Reading Teacher licensure and became one of the 7th Grade Communications teachers in 1997. At the same time, I also began my Master's program with Saint Mary's University in Minnesota. In January of 2001, I graduated from Saint Mary's University with a Master's of Arts degree in education with an emphasis in literacy instruction. I taught 7th grade Communications for nine years before leaving at the end of the 2002-2003 school year to move for my  then-husband's job. In 2005, I returned to school at Cardinal Stritch University and earned my Regualr Education Generalist (1-8) licensure in 2006. I taught 6-8 Remedial Reading, 7th Grade Science, and 7th Grade Reading in Germantown, Wisconsin for two years before returning to Mosinee and becoming one of the 8th Grade Communications teachers in  the Fall of 2008.
