Creating music in an engaging, supportive environment, where students strive for excellence, practice respect and contribute to society.

The Mosinee High School Choirs have demonstrated a passion for singing and a devotion to choral excellence in a tradition the school and community are very proud of. MHS choir students have consistently done well both solo ensemble festivals at the district and state level as well as other competitions and festivals.  Choirs at MHS have sung everything from masterworks of Western Art Music such as the Mozart Requiem and the Beethoven Mass in C, to pillars of popular culture during one of our many fantastic Variety Shows. Our fantastically  themed  variety shows such as “Fright Night” featured the music of pop icon Michael Jackson and his fantastic “Thriller”, complete with a graveyard, lots of fog and of course the “Thriller Dance”!  The choir students have also had many great experiences such as singing at the National Anthem Festival in Washington D.C., performing in the Isaac Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall and performing in honor of our veterans at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

There are many reasons for the many successes this program has experienced: supportive administration, good facilities, and a great elementary and middle school music program. But what really makes the MHS choirs special are the fantastic, devoted students and their incredibly supportive parents. In the MHS Vocal Music Department, the focus is not only on student learning while they are in class, but developing a life long appreciation for music.  The choirs at MHS are special in a lot of ways...we think that we're not only special, but that we're unique. And we think that, as you learn more about us, you will think so, too.
