Acquaint yourself with the exploding world of plants and animals! “Learning by doing” activities will provide you with exposure to various areas of agriscience including leadership and FFA, Wisconsin agriculture, US agriculture, soil conservation and management, plant sciences, integrated pest management, animal sciences, natural resource management, food science and technology and more! Most people are aware, but agriculture is the number 1 industry in the United States. More people are employed in agriculture than any other industry area! The classroom, greenhouse, and shop will be used as laboratories for various activities dealing with plants, animals, and all aspects in between.
Career/Technical Education is an essential part of a complete educational process. These programs deal specifically with the development of the individual while incorporating knowledge skills, motor skills and interpersonal relationships that adequately prepare the individual to be a productive citizen in the working world. It is my goal that this course successfully prepares each individual to make wise choices for entering into post-secondary education institutions, apprenticeship programs or the working environment.
