It is hard for me to believe that I have been teaching English and speech at MHS for twenty-six years. In addition to teaching, I am an advisor for Key Club.  My husband and I live on the Iowa farm that I grew up on. We have been blessed with three sons and a family that is growing.  Our oldest son, Dustin, is a welder and farmer, and his wife, Amanda, is a dog groomer. They have two adorable sons, Connor, who is six years old, and Jason who is three.  We are thrilled that they will be adding a much anticipated girl to the family in early October.  Our middle son, Brandon, is a family medicine physician at Medical Associates of Maquoketa, and his wife Emily is an elementary school counselor in Bellevue, Iowa.  They have an adorable toddler, Theo.  Our youngest son, Reece, and his wife Jillian are both Doctors of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and practice near Nashville, Tennessee.  Besides spending time with the family, I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, shopping, and traveling.  In my opinion, dogs are like potato chips--you can't have just one!  We currently have three dogs.  Gracie, Lucy, and Honcho are all Bernese Mountain Dogs.  For the last few years we have had one or two litters of puppies per year.  We hope to have Bernese Mountain Dog and/or Bernedoodle puppies in the coming year.
