About me:
This is my eleventh year teaching at Monticello. I student taught in the Monticello School District in 2005. I graduated from UNI with a BA in English-Teaching and a MA in English (TESS). I also hold a reading endorsement grades 5-12. I am on various committees in the school district including the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) and the high school building leadership team (BLT). I am also an AIW local coach (Authentic and Intellectual Work) and literacy curricular lead for the district.

Classes I have taught at Monticello include: Basic Comp, English 9, Senior College Prep, Foundations of Literature, Literature for All, American Literature, Western World Literature, Speech and Oral Communications, and Practical English.

In addition to teaching high school classes, I teach Composition I and II for dual credit through Kirkwood Community College.

Outside of my Monticello duties, I am an adjunct professor for Upper Iowa University.

I enjoy working with students and love to see their personal growth in reading, writing, and communicating.
