About me:
This is my ninth year teaching at Monticello. I student taught in the Monticello School District in 2005. I graduated from UNI with a BA in English-Teaching and a MA in English. I also hold a reading endorsement grades 5-12. I am on various committees in the school district including the School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC), the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT), and the high school building leadership team (BLT). I am also an AIW local coach (Authentic and Intellectual Work) and literacy curricular lead for the district.

Classes I have taught at Monticello include: Basic Comp, English 9, Senior College Prep, Foundations of Literature, Literature for All, American Literature, Western World Literature, and Practical English.

In addition to teaching high school classes, I teach Composition I and II for dual credit through Kirkwood Community College.

I enjoy working with students and love to see their personal growth in reading, writing, and communicating.
