About Mrs. Herfurth

 My name is Laura Herfurth.  I have been teaching in Montevideo for over 20 years in special education department.  I grew up on a farm 5 miles northwest of Brewster, MN.  I received my bachelor's degree  in psychology and special education from St. Cloud State University and my Masters through Concordia - St. Paul University. 

My husband's name is Steven Herfurth.  We have two children - John and Preston.  John graduated from high school in 2014, St. Cloud Tech 2015, and Ridgewater in 2017.   John and Katy  are living in Worthington, MN.  John works for Bousman farms and Katy works as Human Resource personal in Worthington School District.   Preston graduated from high school in 2016. In May of 2020 he graduated from South Dakota State University with an undergraduate degree in biology.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota 2024 with a doctorate  degree in Dentistry.  He is married to Melodee Grant.
