Week Three

By: Struan

This week was a short week because Labor Day, but it was a great opportunity to have one of The Great Lessons earlier in the year. This week's Great Lesson was on how the Earth came to be. The lesson was taught by Miss Mary and  Miss Jennifer, who teach in Lower South.  In our classroom, we also had a biology lesson with Crush (our pet turtle). The lesson was about living and non living things.  We also got the Chromebooks out so now we can do typing practice and Google Docs. Hooray!

Our 2nd  week of school!

By: Julian

We have eight 4th year students, five 5th year students, and three 6th year students.  This week we did states of matter in science. The states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas. The follow up was to cut and paste 3 solid, 3 liquid, and 3 gases on a piece of paper.  Upper west put theirs on the wall next to the classroom. We also finished our classroom Rights and Responsibilities. The teachers typed it into the shape of a turtle, and we all signed it. We look forward to the new lessons next week!

    First Week
By: Upper East Teachers

We have had a great first week of Upper Elementary welcoming our new students! We currently have a nice total of 16.  This week included having a few new academic lessons, peace activities, community builders, and butterfly hatching. Our class was gifted two butterfly chrysalises by Miss Brenda in EC. This week both of our butterflies hatched, and were successfully released in our garden! We look forward to building our community, even more, in the weeks to come!
