First and foremost, a big THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers. We depend on our 100+ volunteers to assist us in providing great natural history programs for children and adults in the Missoula community and beyond. Because of you, we are able to take 4th graders on full-day field trips, put on a wildly successful fundraiser each year, share information about MNHC with the community at various events, and so much more.
The mission of the Montana Natural History Center is to promote and cultivate the understanding, appreciation and stewardship of nature through education. MNHC is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 by a group of educators who had the vision to create a natural history center as a resource for schools and the public.
Become a Volunteer
We depend on volunteers to help us run quality programs for the community. We accept volunteers of all ages and abilities, and are adept at working with volunteers' busy schedules. Whether you're interested in teaching children about nature, assisting with our auction, filling in at our front desk, greeting visitors at Evening Lectures, or working in our native plant garden, we have an opportunity for you!
