Engaged Classroom Technology Showcase

Teachers have begun to wonder when the Group-Learning Technologies (GLTs) in their classrooms will be modernized and what those GLTs will be.  A GLT is a technology that supports large and small group instruction.  Examples of these tools in Monroe include:
  • ActivBoard or SMART Board
  • Projector
  • Document Camera
  • Voice & Audio Enhancement (teacher mic, amplifier, and speakers)
  • Presentation computer or tablet
Because manufacturers are changing and discontinuing entire product lines it's time for us to learn what is new and how these tools are changing with modern advancements.  To give teachers and the community an opportunity to see them first-hand, the Digital Learning & Infrastructure team is hosting the Engaged Classroom Technology Showcase Monday, December 12 through Thursday, December 15.  We invite you to participate at the following times:

1:00 PM    Leadership Team & Special Guests
2:15 PM    Facilities & Operations Team
3:30 PM    Teachers
4:30 PM    Families & Community

Mon, December 12     Troxell representing InFocus, Aver, & FrontRow
Tue, December 13    MicroK12 representing ViewSonic, Sharp, Aver & Lightspeed
Wed, December 14    CompView representing SMART, ELMO, & TeachLogic
Thu, December 15    Advanced Classroom Technologies representing Promethean, HoverCam, & Audio Enhancements

The ECTS is located at the Monroe School District Administration Building, 200 E Fremont ST, Monroe, WA 98272.  For questions, comments or other considerations please contact:
