Google Takeout
If you're reading this page, you've decided to pursue a new adventure and will be leaving the Monroe School District.  Thank you for your service to our students; we hope that your time in Monroe provided opportunities for growth and learning.  As you begin packing up your personal items, you may want to make a copy of the documents and messages you've authored as an employee using the district's resources.  You have two options; you can either take a copy of absolutely everything associated with your MSD Google account, or you may choose to transfer just your Google Drive and Email.  Please note, you must complete one of the two options five business days before your last contract day in the district.

Archiving Your MSD Google Account Data

In this scenario, you wish to capture a copy of everything tied to your Google account, (including: Google+, Blogger, Bookmarks, Calendar, Chrome, Classic Sites, Classroom, Cloud Print, Contacts, Drive, Fit, G Suite Marketplace, Google Help Communities, Google My Business, Google Pay, Google Photos, Google Play, Groups, Handsfree, Hangouts, Home App, Input Tools, Keep, Maps, Mail, Profile, Reminders, Search, Street View, Tasks, Voice, & YouTube).  This option does not allow you to capture any resources located in your Google Team Drive.
  1. Login to your MSD Google Account.
  2. Visit Google Takeout to create a *.zip archive.
  3. Download the Archive file to a flash drive or your personal device.
  4. Unzip the Archive file.

Transferring your MSD Google Drive and Gmail to your Personal Google Drive and Gmail

In this scenario you wish only to capture those things stored in your Google Drive and messages in Gmail.  This option does not allow you to capture any resources located in your Google Team Drive.
  1. Login to your MSD Google Account.
  2. Visit Google Transfer to begin the transfer process.
  3. Provide the verification code sent to your personal Google account.
  4. After several days (no more than one week) your MSD Google Drive and Gmail will be transferred to the personal Google account.

Archiving a Team Drive Subfolder

In this scenario, you wish to download a copy of the resources located in a subfolder of the Team Drive.  This is best done from a Windows computer.
  1. Login to your MSD Google Account.
  2. Visit Google Drive, select Team Drives.
  3. Open the Team, right-click on the team subfolder.
  4. Select Download.  Your file will be zipped and saved to your default downloads location.
  5. Repeat for any remaining subfolders.
