My name is Nandini Naidu and I am 13 years old.  I am an 8th grader and a
La Loma Junior High School Web Leader.  I am on the La Loma Green
Machine `s Robotics team, Science Olympiad team, and Academic Pentathlon
team.  Some sports I play are soccer, softball, and swimming.  I have participated
in Operation 9-2-99 river clean-ups near John Thurman field and Tuolumne
River Trust restoration project at Dios Rios Ranch.  Also, I did water monitoring along
Dry Creek and Tuolumne River with the Tuolumne River Trust, too.  Working with my
team this year has caused me to think about our Tuolumne River`s  and
Chinook Salmon`s ecosystem.  So, I have made it my business to educate and
raise awareness, in desire of improving the Tuolumne River`s condition and saving the Chinook.

I believe that what we do in robotics is very important to our city and environment and that we need more people to participate and help us at cleanups and restoration projects.
