2021 MARCHING MAROONS SHOW INFO AND MUSIC!
This year's show will be "Glee's Greatest Hits!" featuring the following songs: "Jump" by Van Halen, "Dream On" by Aerosmith, and "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey. The music is below. Please print your part if you can, or at least look at it online as a .pdf. Hard copies will be available at camp. For part assignments, all SLT should be on 1st parts where applicable, as well as all upperclassmen if you're comfortable with the part. If you are a freshmen or sophomore, you may choose first part if you want, but you must make sure you have no problems with range, rhythms, endurance, etc. If we run into balance problems, parts can be reassigned during camp.
The show music, along with Moliners, needs to be memorized. It may seem like a lot, but you'll get the hang of it in no time! Just practice it in small chunks, trying to memorize a few bars at a time. Listening to the reference recordings (listed below) can help, especially because you can play along with them. Plus, with how much we'll play this music during camp, I'm sure you'll have it down by the time school starts.
