What is the difference between a Bibliography Page and a Works Cited page?

BIBLIOGRAPHY -a list of source materials that are used or consulted in the preparation of a work or that are referred to in the text.

WORKS CITED - a list of source materials that are USED in the preparation of a work.
Things to keep in mind...
  • All entries must be in alphabetical order.
  • The first line of each entry should be flush left. Subsequent lines should be indented one-half inch (5 spaces).
  • Double space after each citation.
  • AUTHOR - Authors’ names are inverted (last name first); if a work has more than one author, invert only the first author’s name, follow it with a comma, then continue listing the rest of the authors. If there is no author, simply use the next piece of information as the first item.
  • TITLE - Capitalize each word in the title of articles, books, etc. (This rule does not apply to “a”, “an”, “the”’ or to conjunctions, unless they are the first word of the title).Underline or italicize title of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, films, CD-ROMs, and websites.
  • Titles of articles are in quotation marks.
  • INTERNET - Place Internet addresses all on one line if possible. If that is not practical or possible, just continue to the next line – do not add a dash to show the continuation to another line.
