To Mohawk Community and families:

My name is Darcy Rathbun and I have been a teacher at Mohawk since August of 2014. I am primarily a special education teacher but I teach a yearlong Inquiry-Based Geometry course. I graduated from Chicopee High School Class 1996 where I studied college prep. I then went directly to "Our Lady of the Elms College" and graduated in May of 2002 with a bachelor’s of Arts in Mathematics. I started teaching in 2003 at a private school in Springfield, Ma and eventually went on to work at Springfield's alternative public school where I solely taught Geometry to 10th grade students. I have also taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Trigonometry. I also received my Masters in Special Education in 2009. I left Springfield Public Schools in 2010 and accepted a job at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School and worked as a Special Education Teacher until June of 2013. I am glad to be a part of the Mohawk School Faculty in both capacities. (Math and Special Ed Teacher) Please contact me if you have any questions. drathbun@mohawkschools.org
