Career and Technical Education Programs

Students have the option of enrolling in the Career and Technical Education programs at Katzenbach or at Mercer County Technical High School. Katzenbach currently offers two state approved programs – Culinary Arts and Automotive Technology. The Automotive Technology program at Katzenbach is a National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation/Automotive Service Excellence accredited program.

Students who chose to attend the Mercer County Technical School program are provided an interpreter or a Teacher of the Deaf, an instructional assistant if appropriate, and transportation by Katzenbach. Upon successful completion of a two-year course, Katzenbach students earn a certificate in their respective major.

We work closely with the instructors at Mercer County Technical School to insure the success of our students in the program. Our students have demonstrated success in Building

Trades, Health and Child Care, Graphic Arts Technology, and Retail Food Marketing.

Students attend the state mandated courses required for graduation at Katzenbach. Students are also eligible to participate in all of Katzenbach’s after school activities.
