The curriculum offered within the district is board approved, with each discipline's approval being placed on a specific cycle within a six-year time frame. Items approved by the board include the course description and rationale, along with the units and objectives for the course. As a curriculum department, we realize that one group or co-hort of students is different than another group taking the same class. Because of this, teachers are allowed the flexibility to adjust learning activities and instructional methods as they deem best for their individual group of students.  Assessment activities are not board approved in order to allow the instructors freedom to adjust units assessments as needed based on test data analysis.

Beginning in the 2016-2017 school year the district began making a formal move from BYOC, a paid curriculum database service, to using Google Drive as the shared curriculum database system. This transition will continue through the 2017-2018 school year.  Patrons of the Marshfield R-1 School district and others who are interested in viewing the district curriculum may choose the "Public Access" selection below. This will take the viewer to a page where selections may be made based on content area. Board approved items, as well as standards coverage can be viewed using this method. District personnel may choose "District Access" from the selections below. This full curriculum may only be accessed by faculty and staff of the Marshfield R-1 School District using your mjays.us account.
