This week in Science, we will be completing our CBA Review.

This week in Science, we are beginning our study of Sedimentary Rock Layers, fossils and fossil fuels through notes, labs and stations.

1/23-1/27
This week in Science, we will finish our study of Earth's changing surface: landforms and WED.  Then, we will move onto our study of sedimentary rock and what we can learn about the Earth's past by studying the layers of sedimentary rock.

1/3-1/6
This week in Science, we will be learning about Earth's rotation, day/night cycle, and shadows by completing vocabulary activity, hands on activities/pages, and taking a checkpoint quiz.

This week in Science, we will be contrasting weather and climate by completing interactive word wall, stations, and taking a checkpoint quiz.

This week in Science, we will be comparing the Sun/Moon/Earth by taking notes, completing partner pages, and check point quizzes.  We will also be studying the water cycle by watching study jams, completing a vocab sort, completing a water cycle diagram, and taking a checkpoint quiz.

11/28-12/2
This week in Science, we will be studying the order of the planets in relation to the Sun, and the cycles of Earth: moon phases, tides, shadows, day/night cycle by rotating through stations, completing interactive word wall, and taking checkpoint quizzes.

11/14-11/18 
This week in Science, we will be finishing our study of mechanical energy and reviewing for our 2nd six weeks CBA.

11/7-11/11 
This week in Science, we will be studying mechanical energy (friction, gravity, push, pull) by completing experiments.

This week in Science, we will be studying electrical energy: closed/open/parallel/series circuits by taking notes, completing a circuits lab, an interactive word wall, and a homework assignment.

10/11-10/14
This week in Science, we will continue our study of the five forms of energy: mechanical, electrical, light, thermal and sound.

10/3-10/7
This week in Science, we will finish our CBA review stations, and take our CBA on Tuesday, 10/4.  Then, we will begin our study of the five forms of energy: mechanical, electrical, light, thermal and sound.

This week in Science, we are studying mixtures and solutions by completing a mixtures/solutions interactive word wall, and guided practice.  We will then complete 8 - 20 minute stations in 4 days, reviewing for our 1st six weeks CBA.

This week in Science, we are studying properties of matter: conductors/insulators of electricity and heat, mixtures and solutions by taking notes and completing stations and labs.

9/12-9/16
This week in Science, we are studying properties of matter: mass, magnetism, density, boiling/melting/freezing points, mixtures & solutions by taking notes, completing stations and labs.

9/6-9/9
This week in Science, we are studying properties of matter: mass, magnetism, density, boiling/melting/freezing points by taking notes and completing stations.

8/22-8/26
This week in Science, we will be studying Science safety and tools by completing stations.  Students will receive their Science agreement which needs to be signed by parents and students.

At the end of each six weeks, once report cards have been sent home, GRADED papers in the Science section of binders may be recycled.  All other papers without grades should remain in the Science section of the binder.
