Statistics Unit- Guinness World Records Data Distributions

Data Distributions and Random Sampling

All of  3.0 performance, plus beyond what was taught.

The student will:

  • Use measures of center and measures of variability for numerical data from random samples to draw informal comparative inferences about two populations. (7.SP.4)

  • Recognize that different random samples from a population may yield different inferences  (7.SP.1)

  • Draw inferences about a population using data from a random sample. (7.SP.2)

  • Analyze variation of multiple samples (7.SP.2)

The student will perform basic processes :

  • Informally assess the degree of visual overlap of two numerical data distributions (7.SP.3)

  • Recognize reasonable inferences about a population. (7.SP.1; 7.SP.2)

  • Generate multiple samples of the same size to gauge the variation in estimates of predictions. (7.SP.2)

With help, partial success at 2.0 and 3.0 levels.

Even with help, no success
