Probability

4

Above and Beyond

3

The student will:

  • Develop a probability model and use it to find probabilities of events  (7.SP.7)

  • Compare probabilities from a model to observed frequency and reason about differences between the model and observed frequency. (7.SP.7)

  • Find Probabilities of compound events using organized lists, tables, tree diagram, and simulation. (7.SP.8)

2

The student will recognize or recall specific vocabulary, such as:

Chance process, compound event, data, event, frequency, list, model, observed, organize, predict, probability, reason, simulation, table, tree diagram (7.SP.5)

The student will perform basic processes :

  • Collect data on a chance process and predict probability (7.SP.6)

  • Understand that the chance of an event is between 0 and 1, with 0 an unlikely event and 1 a likely event. (7.SP.5)
