    Physical Education 3-5

    Ms. Peterson P.E./Health instructor for grades 3-5 and pre-K 3, and 5 day. Here is a little window of the curriculum this year. 
     
    My first priority as a teacher is to be a good Christian role model for all my students in all my classes. It is very important to see the Christian faith lived out in day by day situations in class.

    Developing and encouraging integrity, spiritual growth, learning critical thinking, and learning to work and relate as a part of a team are integrated in all the curriculum. 

    Big Picture Curriculum:

    team and individual sports with all the skills, rules involved 
    physical fitness - (daily strength, flexibility, aerobic, speed, balance lessons)
    health (weekly nutrition, safety, and other health issues)
    cooperative games
    track and field skills
    relays
    multi-sensory/model learning 
    skating/ice games
    life long activities
    FUN Movement
    dance, moving to rhythm
    track and field day 
    Fitness Fever assembly (students will track their eating and exercise for a month)
    Pop Challenge
